Contrasts

Contrasts are an alternative metal band formed in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The band combine hard hitting, low tuned riffs with ambient electronics and soaring vocal melodies. 

From 2022 to 2024 the band committed to a collection of standalone singles and live performances encompassing their ethos of high energy and engaging song dynamics. 

Contrasts released their debut EP 'False Idol', recorded at Long Wave Studios (Bring Me The Horizon, Holding Absence, Nova Twins) on January 30th 2026 to overwhelmingly positive reception. Driven by a refreshed lineup, False Idol showcases a more focused, technical sound for the band. 

With members of the band having shared bills with the likes of Whitechapel, Black Tongue, Funeral For A Friend, Skyharbor and Hawthorne Heights in various earlier projects, Contrasts are using their shared knowledge of the space to make their own statement in the live music sphere.
